Dr. Iyandra Altun is a trailblazing leader based in Nassau, The Bahamas and Miami, Florida. With more than 14 years of experience in financial services, she excels in leadership, transformation, stellar execution, and innovation.

She currently serves as Chairman of the Board of a prominent retail group in The Bahamas with more than seven retail locations and expanding e-commerce lines. In this role, she is responsible for driving corporate strategy, protecting institutional legacy, and balancing stakeholder interests to ensure long-term sustainability and growth. She also serves as Chief Operating Officer of a global fintech brokerage with users in more than 56 countries. As Chief Operating Officer, she is a strategic partner to the Founder and Chief Executive Officer, providing oversight across business lines while spearheading global expansion efforts. Her portfolio includes responsibility for trading operations, financial audits, legal and regulatory matters, contract and project management, human resources, strategic partnerships and communications, as well as sustainable and impact investing initiatives.

Dr. Altun leverages a broad and diverse breadth of experience developed over a decade-long career spanning multiple sectors of the business landscape. Prior to her current roles, she served as Chief Operating Officer of the Cayman Islands branch of a leading global publicly listed Swiss financial institution and as Managing Director of a global fiduciary services company. She is a licensed attorney in both Florida and the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Her experience as Chief Operating Officer, Wealth Advisor, Trustee and Relationship Manager, Chief Governance Officer, and Attorney to Ultra-High-Net-Worth individuals, families, start-ups, and large financial institutions is deep, steadfast, and measurable. She brings a rare knowledge base that bridges the financial services sector and the entrepreneurial start-up ecosystem.

She has been appointed by the Government of The Bahamas to serve on numerous advisory committees and sits on the Board of Directors of the Bahamas Financial Services Board, where she Chairs its FinTech Working Group. She is an active member of several professional and civic organizations, including The Forum, the The Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, 100 Women in Finance, Women in Financial Markets, the Women’s Wealth Circle, TechGC’s Fintech Group, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, among others.

Her achievements include recognition as a Top 40 Under 40 Professional by the United Kingdom’s Black Women in Asset Management, 40 Under 40 Professional in The Bahamas, recipient of the University of Tampa National Alumni Association Award, and the Bahamas Financial Services Board Promotion, Development, and Achievement Award, among other honors.

A sought-after speaker and media contributor, Dr. Altun has been featured in CNBC, Kiplinger, Fortune, and other major publications. She is deeply committed to promoting diversity and inclusion and has championed initiatives supporting women in male-dominated industries. She also coaches female executives, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders on professional development, execution, stakeholder management, and strategic planning.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Altun is deeply committed to community service. She serves on the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations and has led significant fundraising initiatives exceeding one million dollars. She is the founder of the Dr. Iyandra Smith Bryan Global Leaders Fund, an endowment scholarship that provides financial support to female students pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies in male-dominated fields, including finance and technology.
